Constructed-Reality

2026

The series Constructed Reality comprises nine landscape-format colour photographs (60 × 90 cm). Constructed Reality explores how reality emerges in the very moment of seeing — in the eye of the beholder. Even when we believe we perceive objectively, what we consider “truth” is the result of a highly selective process. In the act of looking, we focus on what we expect or deem significant, while simultaneously excluding other elements.

My photographic work operates precisely at this threshold. Through reflections, mirrors, and layered views, interior and exterior, figure and space, object and environment begin to overlap. Elements that appear separate in everyday perception are brought into relation, not as visual tricks, but as a reminder that meaning arises through context. The series understands photography not as evidence, but as a medium that actively produces reality. Each image presents one possible order among many. Constructed Reality invites viewers to recognize perception as an act of construction — and to question the idea of a single, objective truth.
